Galveston East End Historic Restoration

This grand historic house was originally constructed circa 1890s and survived the 1900 Galveston Hurricane. The then-owner decided to elevate the home and add perimeter porch extensions. During the 1980’s, the house was divided into apartments and the home suffered from inappropriate modifications and deferred maintenance.

The new owners appreciate the beauty and history of the home, and they are passionate about restoring the house as part of the Galveston East End Historic District. The proposed scope of work includes the restoration of exterior conditions based on the exceptionally clear 1900s photo (found at the Rosenberg Library). Interior renovations include replacing the inappropriate modifications with sensible and strategic updates.
